During Humanities Career Night, you and 300 to 400 other students from your faculty will discover the possibilities for after your studies. Curious about what the future holds?    

Talk to former students (alumni), meet organisations from the work field, attend workshops, have a professional profile photo taken and your CV checked! After this evening, you will have a better idea of what you can do after your studies and how to get there.

    Myrthe Galle

    Translator & Press Officer @ Embassy of France in the Netherlands

    For nearly three years, Myrthe has worked as a Translator and Press and Political Editor at the Embassy of France in the Netherlands. 

    Education: French Studies (BA) (minor in Journalism), Literary Studies (MA) (specialisation in French), Professional Translation FR–NL (MA).

    Language: Dutch.

    Wiebe Reints

    Researcher @ Rijksmuseum Boerhaave

    Wiebe works as a researcher at Rijksmuseum Boerhaave, where he conducts provenance research into the collection of natural scientist Jan van der Hoeven. Rijksmuseum Boerhaave is the national museum of science and medicine in the Netherlands. Wiebe has a background in provenance research relating to colonial museum collections. Following his studies, he worked as a researcher at the NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies. 

    Education: History (BA) (specialisation in Cultural History and Museology), Museum Studies (MA), Summer School: Contested Heritage and the Role of Provenance Research.

    Are you uncomfortable being assertive as a starter towards your future employer? A shame, because there is room for negotiation in every employment interview. In this workshop, you will learn how to conduct an effective employment interview. You will be introduced to the various topics you can negotiate on and will select the aspects that are most important to you. This will make it easier to conduct a salary negotiation.
