Wiebe works as a researcher at Rijksmuseum Boerhaave, where he conducts provenance research into the collection of natural scientist Jan van der Hoeven. Rijksmuseum Boerhaave is the national museum of science and medicine in the Netherlands. Wiebe has a background in provenance research relating to colonial museum collections. Following his studies, he worked as a researcher at the NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies.
