Fariel is not averse to acquiring many different skills and experiences, but generally within the cultural sector. She obtained an Associates Degree in Music at the Santa Barbara City College, a bachelor’s degree in Musicology at Utrecht University and a bachelor’s degree in Composition and Music Production at HKU. Nowadays she spends her time on her own YouTube channel, where she inform Surinamese students about studying in the Netherlands. She is also a communications officer at the Audiovisual Accessibility Foundation and a creative consultant at Sran Folktales.

Fariel is niet vies van het opdoen van veel verschillende skills en ervaringen, maar over het algemeen wel binnen de culturele sector. Zo heeft ze een Associates Degree in Music gehaald aan de Santa Barbara City College, een bachelor in Muziekwetenschap aan de Universiteit Utrecht en een bachelor Composition and Music Production aan de HKU. Tegenwoordig besteed zij onder andere haar tijd aan haar eigen YouTube kanaal waar ze Surinaamse studenten informeert over het studeren in Nederland. Daarnaast is ze ook communicatiemedewerker bij Stichting Audiovisuele Toegankelijkheid en creatief consultant bij Sranan Folktales.
