Dagmar Nan, Bauke Dudink and Nienke Hutten (SV Albion): “After her BA English, Carina Jansen finished her MA Bilingual and International Teacher Education Programme at Utrecht University and subsequently, she became a teacher and a trainer for teachers. She has been a first-degree English teacher for six years in the superstructure HAVO/VWO. After this, she started to work at Instituut Archimedes. She takes care of the study coaching for students of the Hogeschool Utrecht, she teaches pedagogical courses and supervises researches and internships. In the international version of the program, she is responsible for the curriculum. At the moment, Carina is working on a research about differentiation in secondary education.
Carina Janse has thus not just become a teacher of English, but she also trains future teachers and she is involved in multiple parts of the programme, which makes her a great example of the possibilities within the teacher position.
