Researcher at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen

Bram Donders makes impact through encounter and research.

Stichting Art: “Bram Donders (1993) studied art history at Utrecht University, where he also completed his master’s degree in Art History, specializing in 19th-century visual art. During his studies Bram spent a year on the board of Stichting Art and the StudieVerenigingenOverleg Geesteswetenschappen. He was also a (visual) editor for the academic art history journal Article. During his bachelor he did a research internship at the RKD – Dutch Institute for Art History and during his master he did an internship at the Van Gogh Museum, here he became Junior Curator in 2019. Bram now works as a Researcher at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam where he researches 19th-century female artists in the collection. In 2021, he founded Jong VNK, the youth branch of the Association of Dutch Art Historians. Jong VNK helps up-and-coming art and architectural historians explore the field and provides a platform for meeting and content and professional development through inspiring lectures, working visits and workshop.
