Lian Blasse (ENG) (2021)

Do you see yourself working as editor-in-chief of a magazine? Would you like to help people develop their communicative skills?

Rosemarie Koster (SV Asterix): ” Lian Blasse studied Celtic Languages and Culture here at Utrecht University and graduated from the Ancient, Medieval and Renaissance Studies master in 2015. During her master she contributed as Student Assistant to the Medieval Irish Bilingualism Project and worked as a tour guide at Museum Speelklok, located in the historical centre of Utrecht. Since 10 years she has been part of the folk-pop band Twigs and Twine; she is a violinist, autoharpist, pianist and singer. The newest album Long Story Short can be found on Spotify.
From 2015 to 2018 Lian was the editor-in-chief of the magazine of the Van Hamel Foundation for Celtic Studies, thus staying connected to the field even after her graduation. Until last year she worked as support and project manager at Faculty of Skills, a company that offers blended programmes for training communicative skills. Since April she works as product manager at 62damrak Books in Hilversum, where she supports Dutch and Belgian bookstores in buying English-language books.”
